From my brief search on the forum, it seems to have to do with the lateral adjustment when mounting the dial back onto the movement. I'm just now noticing that the coronet and subsequently the rest of the rehaut, is misaligned on my watch. After extensive research, I've read that: 1. This is common, but it doesn't mean it's acceptable. 2. The rehaut is laser etched into the case, so there's no movement there. 3. Look at the ROLEX engraving all around the rehaut. They're not perfectly aligned to the dial indicators. And the crown at the top is off centre. Everybody always freaks out about the rehaut on their QC pics but look.even the gen products aren't perfect
The rehaut is usually not exact. The minutes do NOT need to perfectly bisect each letter. But if it's so far off that a minute is entirely not touching a letter, that's a bad sign.
