For those not familiar with the brand, Sicura is the company that purchased Breitling in the 70s. Details: This is fairly large for a vintage watch at about 43mm lug to lug. Handwind Movement with Date. Original Bracelet in really nice .Sicura bought out Breitling back in the 70's and made their reputation developing and making big solid divers watches and this is no different, this carries a lot of weight and makes a huge statement.Up for sale is a vintage Sicura Globetrotter GMT. The watch dates from 1970. It turns out the CEO of Sicura arranged the takeover of Breitling in 1979 when Breitling was experiencing financial issues due to advent of the quartz revolution.This Sicura Globetrotter GMT goes back to the 1970s, just before Sicura rescued Breitling in the dark days of the quartz crisis. It has the hand-wound wind EB 8800 movement in it, with service. The watch is in good condition for its age: one part is worn, but even so it looks good.
