As excellent as the Oyster bracelet may be, the Explorer is known to be something of a strap monster, as they say. Yes, the 19mm lug span is a bit annoying here, but thankfully we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to third party straps in . A. Rubber - it's very thick and looks disproportionate to the 36mm case, will make your watch look very small as a result. Exception would be the Tropic Strap which is very thin and would look great. B. NATO - a good nylon NATO will overpower the watch, especially with its multiple folds and stiffness.
