Yes caviar is grained calfskin. However lately Chanel has made different versions of seasonal caviar. Although with the pebbled caviar look, the feel and finish can vary. The green boy in the photo is 17C caviar. It's not as tough as the caviar on classic flaps, but will still be pretty much care free.
